Know Thyself.

Good times in NY this weekend. Big family party (Mom's side, the Irish side).
Got to see my Uncle Dan for the first time in 6-7 years. He & his younger brother (obviously my uncle also) Ray are so much alike, even though 11 years separates them & they didn't actually grow up together/see much of each other over the years. They have similar personalities, and the same mannerisms/speech patterns/humor/etc/etc.

What's interesting is that I too share these traits...
And after talking with my Mom about some things (including what her dad was like, he died when I was ~6 years old) it's clear that our shared traits are genetic and not learned/environmental.
Which is pretty neat. ^_^

I like knowing why I am who/the way I am. It goes back to the ancient Greek saying "Know thyself."
