DC Life

I'm really enjoying my new life style.
My apartment is a good sized 1-bedroom, with a good layout. I like being on the 8th floor, I have a wide view of the sky and all the buildings in downtown Silver Spring (I can even see the Metro). The walk from my apartment to the Metro is 5-10 min. The Metro ride to Metro Center is around 15-20 min, and the walk from there to my office is only another 3. And walking everywhere feels great.

I don't have my car with me (it's at parents') because I'm on a waiting list for the garage parking at the apartment, and there's no close place to park it 24/7 (just free weekend parking). Honestly the only major thing I need to have a car for convenience is going to my parents' and/or my sister's houses. For Thanksgiving I took the train from Union Station (DC) to BWI and my Mom picked me up.

UPDATE: A month later I now have a parking permit for the garage. Car is with me in DC and it's in the garage so I won't ever have to worry about weather/snow! =)
